MINUTES from our reorganization and "REORGANIZATION Repeat" Meetings

 

CuCGP meeting minutes for Thursday March 24 2005 at the South Vineland 
United Methodist Church. In attendance: Gregory Lee Lane, Helen Kalla, Ed 
Kalla, Rich Raimonde.
6:34 PM-Chairman Lane calls the meeting to order.At Lanes request 
Raimonde 
reads the minutes from the 3/3/05 meeting.Lane asks for a few amended 
sentences,Raimonde obliges.Lane makes a motion to approve the amended 
minutes,second by Raimonde,motion approved unanimously.Chair Lane calls 
for 
the Treasurers Report,Treasurer Helen Kalla reports $210.00 in the 
treasury. 
Raimonde makes a motion to approve,second by Lane,motion carries 
unanimously.Chairman Lane asks if anyone has come forward to be 
considered 
for election as an Executive Officer of the CuCGP. No new names are 
mentioned.Raimonde suggests we retain our current officers by 
acclamation. 
There is no objection from the membership present at this meeting 
designated 
to elect officers.Raimonde makes the motion,second by Ed Kalla,motion 
to 
reappoint our current officers carries by unanimous consent. They are 
as 
follows:Gregory Lee Lane-County Chairman of the CuCGP,Helen 
Kalla-Treasurer 
of the CuCGP,Rich Raimonde-Recording Secretary of the CuCGP.Chairman 
Lane 
indicated his intention to reaapoint Ken McGill as the County 
Coordinator of 
the CuCGP. At this time the membership discussed the the flea market to 
raise funds for the CuCGP to be held on Friday 6/3/05 with a tentative 
second date of Friday 7/15/05. We discussed the mechanics of such an 
undertaking.Ed Kalla made a motion to approve funding the 6/3/05 date 
with 
7/15/05 still under consideration,second by Helen Kalla,motion passed 
unanimously.At this time Chairman Lane distributed pictures taken at 
the 
3/3/05 meeting of the membership to the membership present. These 
pictures 
were "well received". Pass the hat. Some closing remarks were made by 
Chairman Lane regarding public perception of the image projected by the 
CuCGP and ways we can improve upon it. Chairman Lane said since 
assuming the 
Chair he has been responsible for the new logo of the CuCGP as well as 
the 
two upcoming fundraisers.7:10pm-Raimonde makes a motion to 
adjourn,second by 
Ed Kalla,motion received unanimous approval.Rich Raimonde,recording 
secretary.
Meeting minutes for the Cumberland County Green Party for Thursday 
April 
28,2005 at the Vineland Holiday Inn Express near Cumberland 
Mall.Meeting was 
held in a conference room payed for out-of- pocket by Gregory Lee Lane. 
In 
attendance: Gregory Lee Lane,Ernest McCoy Jr.,Rich Raimonde.
6:49pm-Chair Lane calls the meeting to order. Lane asks Secretary 
Raimonde 
to read the minutes from the March meeting. Raimonde 
obliges.Discussion. 
Raimonde makes a motion to approve the minutes,second by McCoy,motion 
passed 
unanimously. Lane reads a Treasurers report given to him by the 
recovering 
Helen Kalla,Lane advised that we now have $222.00 in our treasury. The 
Treasurers Report was approved by unanimous consent. Lane made a motion 
to 
nominate Ernest McCoy Jr. as a Vice Chair of the CuCGP ,second by 
Raimonde. 
McCoy accepted the nomination. Motion passed unanimously.At this time 
discussion turned to the upcoming fundraisers at the Vineland U-Sell 
flea 
market. Discussion. It was decided to pursue the 6/3 date for the 
fundraiser 
at a cost of $12.00 for the table allocated from the treasury,motion 
was 
made by Raimonde with a second by McCoy,motion carried by unanimous 
consent. 
It was also decided to "table" the tentative 7/15/05 date till further 
notice. At this time discussion turned to the upcoming November 
election 
cycle. Lane said he would be circulating petitions along with his 
running 
mate Chuck Woodrow to pursue election to the two seats in the 3rd 
District 
State Assembly. Lane said he would be circulating joint petitions for 
himself and Woodrow as well as tentative GPNJ gubernatorial candidate 
Matt 
Thieke. Discussion about election/petition strategy ensued. The talk 
then 
turned to a resolution put forward by Lane and Ken McGill to support 
the 
legal challenge of the proposed NJ Motorsports Speedway in 
Millville.Discussion,and some revisions and additions were made to the 
resolution.The language was settled on by those present and Raimonde 
made a 
motion to adopt the amended resolution,second by McCoy,motion passed 
with 
unanimous approval. Raimonde then made a proposal to have CuCGP added 
to the 
list of supporting organizations who are opposed to the Speedway with 
Citizens United to Protect the Maurice River and its Tributaries of 
Millville as the sponsoring organization.Raimonde added that he would 
speak 
with CU President Jane Morton-Galetto to see if they would want us as a 
sponsoring organization. Raimonde said they could very well be 
reluctant 
since they are chartered as a non-partisan non profit.McCoy seconded 
the 
motion which carried with unanimous approval. Pass the hat.The next 
monthly 
meeting of the CuCGP will be on Thursday May 26 at 6:30pm at the South 
Vineland United Methodist Church.7:54pm-Raimonde made a motion to 
adjourn,second by McCoy.Motion carried unanimously.Rich Raimonde,CuCGP 
recording secretary.
